Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound large shells of pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (or 1 packet)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup jarred salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- Begin by cooking the large shells of pasta according to the package instructions until they are al dente. This typically takes about 8-10 minutes. Drain the cooked pasta and set it aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning to the cooked beef, followed by 3/4 cup of water. Stir the mixture well and continue to cook, allowing the water to simmer and thicken until it’s mostly absorbed by the beef. This will create a flavorful taco meat.
- Combine the cooked pasta, jarred salsa, and shredded cheddar cheese with the seasoned beef. Stir the ingredients together, allowing the cheese to melt and coat the pasta and meat.
- Continue to cook for a few minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
